South Yarra Hairdressing Supplies
South Yarra Hair Dressing Supplies, known as SYHDS, is a warehouse store providing wholesale prices to salons and independent hairdressers all over Australia. I have worked as a collaborative partner throughout the final years and goals set for the closing of a successful chapter and an established foundation for the next generation.
In 2020 I was approached by two experienced founders with an opening – a retirement plan for both of them. Interest from multiple companies wishing to expand their business in the sector allowed for an exciting opportunity to put their assets forward for the next generation.
The vision was a new brand identity to bring more customers back from the Covid-19 restrictions and appeal to this new demographic coming into the industry. The approach developed from this outlined two distinct goals; drive returning customers
back and create a brand attractive to this new target market.
Adjacent to these ideals, we wanted to maintain a strong and bold design with an upmarket style that aligns with the end goals whilst remaining exciting and new to previous and new customers.
This was a 2-year process from account managing to graphic design with SYHDS, who have successfully sold their business to Budget Hair & Beauty which has now set them up for retirement.
